"Sentiments of an Inner Realm" By Sullyvision

13-27 June 2008

SEEING RED

“What are you looking at Red?" The schoolyard challenge is one of the earliest memories of the artist Laurence Peterson and a prickly part of his lifelong fascination with the colour red and its various layers of meaning.

His exhibition RED uses the Australian landscape and its range of moods to continue exploring the colour and its potent associations of fire, passion, blood and energy. The viewer is invited to discover their own layers of meaning in ten large and brooding paintings that are rich with textures and glowing glazes.

Or alternatively you can simply take this as 'read'.
